Gary B. Stillwagon, MD, Ph.D.

After earning his doctorate in nuclear engineering from Georgia Tech in Atlanta and working for a year in medical radiation physics, Dr. Gary Stillwagon found his true passion. It was medicine. He attended medical school in Tennessee and completed his residency at Johns Hopkins Hospital where he served as Chief Resident and President of the House Staff Council. “I wanted to do something in the medical area that would have impact,” said Dr. Stillwagon.

He served four years on the faculty of the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, was elected a Fellow in the American College of Radiology and was voted “Top Doctor in Atlanta” in 2001 by Atlanta physicians. He ran a solo practice before joining Radiotherapy Centers of Georgia in 2003.

In addition to caring for and treating cancer patients, Dr. Stillwagon is President and CEO of Struggling Kids, a non-profit organization he founded to assist orphans and abused and abandoned children and women of Ukraine. Dr. Stillwagon is truly dedicated to helping improve quality of life for those in need. (www.strugglingkids.org)

Dr. Stillwagon has two sons and is from Memphis, Tennessee.
