
Early in his medical training, Dr. Frederick Schnell knew that he had a passion to work with cancer patients. His compassion and concern for his patient’s comfort and well-being is apparent. Through patient satisfaction surveys, Dr. Schnell continually receives high scores. Dr. Schnell is constantly ensuring that his office staff is well-trained and caring, so that there is a positive environment, which is essential and reassuring in a cancer treatment setting.
After he was introduced to the ProstRcision procedure developed by Dr. Frank Critz for the treatment of prostate cancer, Dr. Schnell joined the Radiotherapy Centers of Georgia family in 1999. He has performed hundreds of ProstRcision procedures during his career at RCOG.
The Newton location has the ability of performing high dose rate brachytherapy procedures for early stage breast cancer (Mammosite) and for other gynecological cancers. Dr. Schnell treats all forms of cancer, including breast, lung, gynecologic, head and neck.
Dr. Schnell is married and has a young son. He and his family enjoy boating, hiking, biking and vacations at the beach.
