The Choice for Saving Lives

Radiotherapy Clinics of Kentuckiana (RCK) is one of the region’s most respected cancer centers, offering superior patient-focused cancer therapy and the latest radiation therapy technology available for the treatment of cancer. This free standing facility is located one mile north of downtown Louisville, just a block from Clark Memorial Hospital

This patient-focused treatment planning and implementation is truly a team process, involving our doctors and skilled staff. In collaboration with your own physician, medical oncologists and specialists. Our commitment to friendly, personalized, outcome-based care makes RCK distinct from others – and provides our patients with a true “family atmosphere” where they feel comfort, compassion and encouragement during the treatment process.

Dr. Frederick H. Albrink has been medical director of the clinic since 1994.  Dr. Albrink trained at the University of Louisville School of Medicine where he received his medical degree in 1987. He completed his internship in internal medicine at the University of Louisville in 1988.  In 1991 he completed his residency in radiation oncology at the James Graham Brown Center Center, University of Louisville.

After residency training Dr. Albrink moved to Omaha, Nebraska, and the University of Nebraska Medical Center before returning to start the practice in Jeffersonville in 1994. He was one of the founders of the cancer program at Clark Memorial Hospital, which has developed into a nationally recognized center of commendation by the American College of Surgeons. His primary areas of expertise include malignancies of the prostate, breast, lung, and head and neck.

Dr. Albrink became interested in the specialty of radiation oncology after seeing its positive impact on patients while he was in medical school. Not only is it an integral part of a true multi-disciplinary approach to cancer, but it provides a balance between technology and hands-on patient care. The success of  Radiotherapy Clinics of Kentuckiana is a testament to his philosophy of loving, supportive cancer care in a relaxed setting and its positive impact on patients’ lives.
